Hello Emily and Pete - I am a friend of Pete's from his days at Allegheny College. I heard from one of our common friends (Goose) about Emily's surgery. I am so glad to read all the good news on Emily's progress. We will send all of our prayers from Pittsburgh your way. God Bless. PS - Your boys are adorable!

O.K Emily...my turn.

You look maaahvelous in your "Central Laundry" ensemble.

You have definitely earned that as a permanent keepsake in your wardrobe to pass on to future generations many years from now.

Your Seattle "fans" are absolutely thrilled that you are doing so well. Must be those sturdy John Howland (Mayflower) genes you inherited :0)

Best wishes for a continued speedy recovery!

Em, Hello my dear friend! You are an amazing woman! We have been thinking and praying for you constantly. We are so relieved and thrilled with your progress.I was sorry to miss your call the night of your surgery. When we listened to it the next day, (after explaining to Johnny you were getting a new beautiful heart...he said "so she won't have to be in the hospital anymore? :-) it was so nice to hear your voice. You have such a strong positive strength from within which surely impacted the success of your surgery as well as the prayers from all of those who love you. Johnny heard your voice on the machine and said "is that Emily-is she out of the hospital with a new heart?" He obviously, even as a little person, cares and loves you the way we all do. The communication chain with Pete and Melissa has been a settling feeling for all of your gal pals. It has been so awesome to know your progress regularly. It is really cool to see so many people bond to help in anyway possible. So many people have been asking about you and sending love your way. I miss talking to you regularly-just know we love you so very much and we are so proud of your courage as well as your family's. Em, you may have a bigger heart than you did a few days ago...but I don't think it is possible for you to be any more loving and appreciative as a friend, mother or wife than you already are. You are truly a WONDER WOMAN! hugs and love, Climacos

Hey guys! I can't believe how quickly this all came together. I went to check my yahoo e-mail and saw that there were 28 messages and knew something was weird. Of course, it was something wonderful instead and I'm overjoyed that you look so great and have come through with flying colors. Em, you are awesome and blessed and shortly will be ready for a sweet mountain bike ride with your super husband.
Sending you lots of love from SC!
Susan
