What a great picture of the Mom! And Pete, all it needed to be perfect was to keep the window out of the viewfinder--the best light wants to be on the face of the subject! But I bet you knew that.
Unplugged and out of the ICU in three days? Amazing.

We're all so thrilled and happy for you and your family. We have been keeping up with your progress from your lovely family. I met Kate the other day when Mason came over to drive the Barbie car.
Melissa had to help me even figure out how to find the blog. My first blogging experience.
You look amazing--Mike and I are amazed at your spectacular progress. We just keep marveling at your rapid recovery. I'm thinking that maybe in the future you can join Melissa and I on a mountain bike ride. I can't wait for you to kick my butt---I'm hoping that I'll be able to at least keep up with the cardiac patient because Melissa sure blows me away.
Anyway, Melissa and I are thinking of some kind of sign language system to divise so we can hang out at the top of the driveway and chat with you. How long until you can have a glass of wine? We'll have a New Heart Party in the driveway at my house so you can see from your room.
Glad to hear you're reading trash magazines---I'll save some for you.
